SQL Server -> 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS' Collation -> Varchar Column -> Languages Supported?

The range of characters is defined by the collation (and sort order too).

The range of characters is defined by the collation (and sort order too) Basically, Western European languages with this collation. You won't have Romanian, say, nor will you have correct Spanish sorting.

Thanks for the quick response. Is there any link where I can get the list or linkage of supported characters to the Language. This is needed since we need to communicate to the external party about how many languages can be supported with the current database structure (which internally uses Varchar columns).

– Ajay Singh Apr 23 '10 at 11:47 I don't know one. But why not loop through I 32 -> 255 and do CHAR(i)...? – gbn Apr 24 '10 at 15:03.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
